It's been two years since Edward left Bella, during New Moon. She's been awaken from her depression by Jacob Black, and they've been together ever since. Everything was peaceful and calm again.
Then the Cullens come back to Forks. Edward wants Bella again, but Jacob won't let her near him, even though she wants to see him again. A new vampire coven has moved to Forks, and they're heard about the Cullens. Their goal? To destroy the Cullens, because they don't believe vegetarian vampires should exist. When they cross the border, the werewolves immediately blame the Cullens, and mini-war starts.
To make matters worse, Leah Clearwater starts liking Jacob and has imprinted on him, even though she knows that he's with Bella.
