i'm not a princess, this aint a fairy tale. i'm not the one you'll sweep of her feet, leader of the stairwell - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - leah clearwater was never your girl for shopping. she wasn't your typical 'girly girl' and in fact tried to stay as far away from girls who were classified as that as possible. she didn't like to place herself into any certain category, but she'd be damned if people assumed she was some airhead who loved to go shopping. because she wasn't. she was just leah. werewolf extraordinaire. but it was getting to the point where the only things she had in her wardrobe were a pair of pj shorts and a summer dress. everything else had been shredded to pieces when she phased and didn't have the time to undress, or anger had consumed her and forced her body into it's other form. it was getting incredibly annoying, especially when she'd just purchased something new and something she'd really liked only to see it on the forest floor, ripped to pieces. that was why she was currently walking around the LaPush mall, with some money in her back pocket to find some new clothes. all she needed were a few new pairs of jeans, few tops, few skirts. every essential a girl needed clothing wise.
her mom, sue, had offered to go with her so they could have some sort of 'bonding' day together but leah had refused. as always. she then heard her mom saying something about stopping by at charlie's to say a quick hello. she didn't know what the hell was going on there, nor did she care. what her mom did with her life was her business. she just wished her mom had the same opinion about leah's life. she was forever asking questions. how was she? was she doing alright? it was like ever since leah had phased for the first time her mom was expecting some sort of break down. some sort of 'i can't do this anymore' and 'why me?' followed by a falling into her mothers arms while sobbing her heart out. while at times leah really, really felt like doing this. she couldn't. that would show she could actually feel something, anything and at the moment she wasn't so sure she could. she knew what pain felt like, and it seemed for the past while that was all she could feel. what did happiness feel like? it would take some time to recall. she wasn't depressed no. she was just stuck in a rut, refusing to get over the heartbreak.
everyone knew the story about leah, sam and emily. people she didn't even know knew about it and were forever throwing looks of pity and sadness her way. it was a long time ago and while it was the cause for leah's new change of attitude and out look on life a big part of her just wanted everyone to forget and for herself to move on. after hearing the story of how her boyfriend and cousin broke her heart they assumed leah was some little victim, a soft, depressed and broken hearted girl. and while they got the last one right they were certainly wrong about the first two, which they realized when leah called on the people who knew nothing about her but some stupid story yet decided to sum up what kind of person she was. she would rather be known than the bitch she is than some weak little girl. she sighed as she aimlessly flicked through racks of clothing, nothing catching her eye. though nothing needed to catch her eye as it would most likely end up across the forest ground, covered in mud. would this ever end?

love doesn't have a meaning unless you make one with me
i can't live without this empty bliss The black haired man grumbled reading through Billy's list of supplies he wanted his son to go pick up for him. This was the last thing Jacob wanted to do today. It had been his only day not having to do anything with his werewolf life out of months, but no; he couldn't spend it catching up on sleep or watching television. He had to go down to the La Push Mall and buy things for his handicapped father, how wonderful was that. Jake finished scanning the list, picking up the small was of cash that Billy had attached to the note and shoved it in his pocket. Releasing a sigh, the werewolf walked to his room. He knew better than to go to a mall without a short or shoes on... it was one thing in the woods. Jake pulled over a plain black shirt before pulling on his torn up jeans from being the forest so much, and a pair of normal shoes. Though, seeing how pathetic his closet was, he picked up the extra crash on his bedside table, deciding that it wouldn't hurt adding a clothing trip for himself on this errand. Shifting into a nine foot wolf didn't help with the clothing issue at all. Jacob was already low on clothes enough, not needing them to rip to shreds when he didn't have enough time to strip down.
Heading out the door, he flicked off the lights, and headed toward his rabbit. It was completely done and although it was quite rusty, it worked like a charm. Something Jake loved to take pride in. He got inside, shutting the old car's door and headed straight for the mall. As he drove, his mind began to wander about his mind's favorite topic, Bella. Emotions started to whirl around, making his chest tighten, remembering the current events. His heart has been smashed around by his Bells and yet, his mind wouldn't let him think any less of her. Even when she became the one thing Jacob hated the most, his feelings for her wouldn't subside. It was proof to the human species that even mortal enemies can accept each other. Not that he was really intent on making that point, but it was still true. The pack hadn't been too pleased to find out what she had become... especially Leah. The female werewolf couldn't stand it and Jake knew that second Leah got she would go after Bella's other love, Edward.
Though, he might have to join in with her on that one... if the bloodsucker really was a murderer, then it's only law that Jake and his pack take him down. He pulled the rabbit into the Mall's parking lot, shutting off the newly put in engine before jumping out of it. The La Push mall was small since this town was petite itself, but it held everything anyone could imagine. Jacob walked inside, deciding to get his own clothes before running around and checking things off Billy's list. He walked into the nearest clothing store, not caring which one it was and instantly smelled Leah's familiar scent. It didn't sound normal, usually someone would see someone they knew instead of smelling them first. Jake's optics flicked around the store until he saw her running her eyes carelessly over the different fabrics; no interest showed on her face. Yes, she was a bitch. Even so, Jake considered himself a friend, judging how she seemed to more talkative to him more than the rest of the pack. Or at least, a tad bit friendlier. "Hey Babe, having any luck?" he teased, coming up from behind her. He only said the babe part to annoy her... it was sort of their thing; who could annoy the hell out of each other first. Jacob raised an eyebrow at her, waiting for either a bitter to sarcastic answer. It's what he always expected from her.

i'm not a princess, this aint a fairy tale. i'm not the one you'll sweep of her feet, leader of the stairwell - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - leah really should start getting her clothes online because really, traipsing around some store mindlessly searching for clothes that would last her a week, maximum, was really beginning to get on her nerves and bore her. on the one hand if she seen a really cute top that she adored she couldn't buy it, because it would end up ruined and she wouldn't want a piece of clothing she loved destroyed. and as she couldn't tell when she would have to phase she wouldn't be able to decide when a good time to wear said top would be. so she was forced to buy the ugly or less attractive things. leah had never had much preference for clothes as long as they looked good on her and fit, but now good fashion, which had never really been important to her in the first place, was slipping away she felt less and less like a girl. this wolf life was so inconvenient and sucked ass majorly, but time and time again she had to remind herself that there was nothing she could do to change any of it, but she'd be damned if anyone denied her the ability to complain about it. she picked up a few plain tees and thew them over her arm.
she changed direction, heading over to another section in the shop to grab some jeans when she caught a familiar scent. jacob. she groaned. if she knew he was there, there was a big chance he'd already caught her scent. it was bad enough that she had to spend most of her days and sometimes nights with him, when their minds were open to each other and she had to listen to him mope and mope about bella. she thought quil and the guys had it bad whenever she thought about sam? well listening to jacob was ten times worse than her. well that was in her opinion, she was most likely still regarded as the worst seeing as leah deliberately thought about those things to make the pack awkward and sometimes angry, whereas jake couldn't help it. the subject was constantly on his mind. constantly. that didn't mean she was going to pity him. fuck no. if she had to hear that leeches name one more time and hear how hurt jake was seeing her and her other leech together, she was going to fucking kill someone. herself and everyone else in the pack were created to protect the oblivious from the bloodsuckers, and yet here was a member of the pack 'cavorting' with one, and then some. they were enemies and it should stay that way. vampires and werewolves. no mixing. though her brother did have a problem with that one seeing as he was very fond of edward one of the Cullen clan.
she heard his voice and she rolled her eyes, a slight smile playing on her lips as she turned to face him. "not yet sweetie" she replied in a sickly sweet voice, in response to his 'babe' comment. god she hated getting called anything other than her name. babe, baby, honey, sweetie, love, darling. they all made her want to physically vomit. though she knew jacob only called her it because it aggravated her. "shouldn't you be sitting alone in a dark room somewhere, listening to depressing music and lamenting over your horrible life? oh wait sorry. that's what you do after your precious bloodsucker blows you off for her boyfriend. my bad." she said sarcastically. it wasn't unusual for herself and jake to engage in banter, neither were nice to the other at all and leah usually ended up crossing the line. but she really didn't give a fuck. it was a rarity if they didn't engage in this kind of talk. okay, so leah did feel more closer to him than any of the other guys, but i dunno. that's because she talked to him more. the reason? she didn't know. the boy annoyed her to the very core. everything about him, everything he did. so why was he the only real friend type person she had? she didn't know how to answer that.

love doesn't have a meaning unless you make one with me
i can't live without this empty bliss Jake had walked into the clothing store, figuring he would buy one plain white undershirt and then a few pairs of new jeans. He didn't need more than one shirt since he rarely ever wore one, unless he was working on a car to keep the grease off his skin. He had been thinking about the idea of opening up his own car shop since he found himself quite good at fixing vechiles and he needed the cash. Billy wasn't going to support him forever and it wasn't long before he would want to move out of Billy's place. His handicapped father would be able to manage without him and besides, he's been bugging Jake to start looking for a new place to live, but Jake was being stubborn and insisted that he stayed to take care of him. See; Jacob wasn't selfish all the time like his pack claimed him to be. Lately he's just been a little moody because of the normal reason; Bella. It wasn't a bad thing, but his urges to be with her got in the way of his focus, or his thoughts would get wrapped up thinking about how she was still with Edward even though she should be with him and it would get Jake upset. Just a little. Sarcastic thought.
Jacob smirked when she called him sweetie. Leah and him had this game that would never end of trying to get on each others nerves and usually Leah would push him a bit too far. He was pretty emotional ever since Bella's return and the female shape shifter had been taking advantage of that offend. Although, ever since the pack's split up and the young woman came to join his group they had formed this strange friendship; if anyone could even call it that much. They may torture each other mercilessly at times, but they had their sweet moments were they would just talk. No, not talk about how fucked up both their lives were, but chat about things normal humans would associate about. Sure; Jake also talked to Embry and hell, even Seth, but he knew that Leah was the only one out of his pack that truly felt his pain. They both were forced to fight for their loved one; the only difference being that Leah had lost and Jake still had a chance. Even so, it was an experience they shared, something they related on in a deep level of emotion.
"I'm sorry to hear that pumpkin cakes," he said, matching her innocent, sickening lovey-dovey tone. An employee who worked at the store shot a glare at Jake and Leah for sounding so affectionate in a public store. Rolling his eyes, the shape shifter flicked his attention back to Leah when she spoke. A scowl appeared on his expression and he narrowed his eyes threateningly; this is what he meant when he thought about her crossing the line. "Shouldn't you be bugging the hell out of Sam?" he snapped back, and then said mockingly, "Oh wait sorry; I seemed to have forgotten that he doesn't love you anymore." As cold as his chocolate brown eyes were, that normally sprouted with warmth and kindness, he didn't want to hurt Leah. She just pissed him off to a point where he was forced to piss her off back. Bella was a sensitive subject to Jake, just as Sam was a sensitive topic to Leah and they both liked using it against each other. There wasn't anything else to explain. Trying to pull out of the bad mood shoved down upon him, Jake softened, grinning. "So, since you're in the clearance section, I'm assuming you're trying to find the ugliest shirt ever," he stated, knowing well that pack members had to wear inexpensive clothes since the whole shifting deal. "I don't see why you just don't wear a shirt like the rest of us," he said a devilish smirk appearing to his lips. What could he say? Cut him some slack; Jake was still a guy.

i'm not a princess, this aint a fairy tale. i'm not the one you'll sweep of her feet, leader of the stairwell - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - the name 'pumpkin cakes' made her skin crawl. god she hated pet names. they made her want to vomit, though she couldn't deny at one point in her life she had taken joy in calling someone her 'honey' or 'sweetie'. it didn't take a genius to guess who this person was. yes, she used to find calling your boyfriend a name like that was incredibly cute but now that she had no-one she found them disgusting. just like she found love. "it's okay sugar, they all end up getting ruined anyway, don't they." she replied to him, starting off her sentence with fake affection and ending on a bitter tone. unlike most members of the pack, leah hated what she was and didn't everyone know it. though she admitted the speed and strength she obtained in her wolf form were bonuses to the creature she was, it still didn't make her hatred any less. she wasn't meant to exist, a girl wolf that is. hell werewolves ( or shape shifters) weren't meant to exist and up until a few years ago she had just thought the childhood stories her and seth had been told were mere fairy tales.
her eyes narrowed in anger and almost a growl escaped from her mouth. now she was pissed off. how fucking dare he? she decided to ignore the fact that she had started this whole 'insult session' and concentrated more on trying to stop her hand from shaking. admitting to herself that sam had stopped loving her was hard enough, but for him to then rub it in her face? he was so going to regret that. and since the break up, leah had done everything possible to stay away from her ex and if it weren't for her and the rest phasing, she would have been happy never seeing him again til the day she died. at least jake knew that drama junkie, leech loving leech had somewhat love feelings towards him. she would have fun convincing him otherwise. "oh and you think that bloodsucker has ever loved you?" she paused and laughed mockingly. "you're even more stupid than i thought. wait, that's not possible" she said and folded her arms. "if she really wanted to be with you. she would be. right now. right here. but she's not, she's off fucking that piece of stone" she spat and smiled sweetly, hoping that would piss him off. jake was one of the people who could actually 'tolerate' her in a way, so it was beyond her why she continued to push people out of her life.
she nodded simply in response to his question and sighed. she was going to be here all day if she didn't start getting more focused on getting some new stuff. she would be walking around naked pretty soon, if she didn't buy some crap today. a smile played on her lips and she raised her eyebrows, "and you'd just love that, wouldn't you?" same old jake. believe me, if her mom wouldn't actually kill her if she found out, leah would love to wear minimal amount of clothing. that meant whenever she phased only a flimsy pair of shorts and tank top would be destroyed. nothing big and nothing she would be angry over losing. the turn in direction their conversation had taken was meaningless. it was always meaningless. a frustrated groan escaped her lips as scanned through a rack of jeans. "uh really, why couldn't i be a guy?" being a guy and being a werewolf would be so easy. she could just walk around with no t-shirt or nothing on. "so jakey boy, is there a reason you're stalking me?" she asked him, really meaning why was he at the mall. see leah could be nice, she could make civil conversation if she wanted to. though she didn't want to alot.
